I installed bunches of these for customer's equipment and had the occasional failure. I had 4 left when I stopped selling them and used another product instead.
I have used the remaining ones occasionally for my own uses. I just checked on one charging a car battery for the last couple of months and it was putting out 22.87 volts. that is not a typo!
Another of the 4 is just dead and two others are putting out 15.1 and 14.9 volts. These are all out of the acceptable range for any 12v battery.
These chargers are just as likely to damage your battery as save it.
I have had much better results with Guest 2611A Charge Pro Series Marine Battery Charger (12/24-Volt, 10-Amps 5/5, Double Output)
I would and do warn anyone I run into away from these. A few years ago, the manufacturer replaced 6 of them for me, but I just dumped them at a discount in "new" condition because I didn't want the risk of selling them to customers. I hope others have better luck. If you are just using one in your life, maybe you get lucky, but put a volt meter on it periodically and check because overvoltage will kill your battery. Most batteries should float around 13.2v

Battery Tender Plus 022-0157-1 received as described. It is a compact size in a heavy duty, weatherproof case which makes it great for outdoor applications such as charging batteries on a travel trailer. Very easy to use...just plug it in and walk away. Consider getting extra wiring harnesses for other charging applications. Harnesses make it easy to plug in and charge batteries without having to hook up bulky clamps and cables. Would recommend.

This is a great product for protecting your batteries. I have used it for years on my TransAm, which I rarely drive, and my motorcycle. Motorcycle batteries usually last 4 - 6 years. My last one lasted 9 years. I have a friend who has a Z which he rarely drives; and during the time I had one battery on my TransAm - he replaced his 3 times. After suggesting he get one of these 3 or 4 times with no success - I finally bought him one myself.

Great product. Does what it claims. Really prefer the 5 amp charge over the other, lessor ones.
Easy to install, no problems at all. Would buy another one in a heart beat.
I use this for my RV with several batteries.
